Are masks required? No 

When should I buy my tickets? Tours sell out early, so once you know your date and time, advance purchase your tickets online or at the Black Cat Shoppe at 8 Market Street 

Where do the tours begin? At the Ghost Walk of Old Wilmington sign riverfront at Market and Water Streets. For GPS use The Black Cat Shoppe at 8 Market Street. 

When should I arrive? Check-in begins 20-minutes prior to the scheduled start of your tour. Tours leave promptly so be sure to give yourself plenty of time to find parking, use the restroom and mosey on down to the river

Where do I park?  If you can find an on-street spot, take it. Parking is free after 6:30. Otherwise there are 3 affordable city parking decks within a few blocks of the tour (115 Market Street, 114 N. 2nd Street, or 218 N. 2nd Street). Note: Private parking lots are costly. Be sure to ask what the rate is!

How long are the tours?

GHOST WALK: 90 minutes and about one mile of walking

HAUNTED PUB CRAWL: 2.5 hours and maybe 6 blocks distance

WILMYWOOD: 90 minutes and about one mile of walking

How much are the tours?

GHOST WALK: $19.00 for adults, $17.00 for seniors (55+), full time students or military (active or retired). Children 6 and under are free

PUB CRAWL: $25.00

WILMYWOOD: $20.00 for adults, $18.00 for seniors, students or military. Children 6 and under are free

Do children 6 and younger need tickets for the Ghost or Wilmywood?

Children 6 and younger are free and do not need tickets for the tour.

Are there public restrooms? There are 2 public restrooms; One at the information booth next to our ghost walk sign, and one at the parking deck at 115 Market Street

What if I am late?  Late ticketholders should stop by the Black Cat Shoppe at 8 Market Street. Tours vary nightly, but they always know where we will be for the first 30 minutes of each tour   

Do I need to print my tickets? No, we have a Guest List.

Can an under 21 Designated Driver attend the Pub Crawl? No. While we don't want anyone drinking and driving (you can guarantee there will be at least one checkpoint leaving downtown), North Carolina law prohibits anyone under 21 from entering an establishment that serves liquor. 

Then how do I get to and from and Pub Crawl? It's pretty easy.

1. Have a 21 or older Designated Driver drop you off and then pick you up after the tour (or they can take the 8:30 ghost walks which ends around when the Haunted Pub Crawl ends)

2. Stay downtown!

Are tours rain or shine? Yes. Feel free to bring an umbrella or raincoat. You can also buy inexpensive ponchos at the Black Cat Shoppe. 

What about lightning? If your guide feels lightning is an imminent threat they will lead the group to one of our very safe shelters and continue to tell stories. Once the threat passes, we will continue walking.

What about hurricanes? Once the NOAA issues a hurricane watch or warning we cancel our tours and issue full refunds. 

What is your refund/exchange policy? Our policy is similar to other Live Venue Performances (ie. theater, concert, sporting event, etc.). 

REFUNDS: Ghost Walk tickets are non-refundable less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled performance. Haunted Pub Crawl tickets are non-refundable less than 48 hours prior to your scheduled performance. NO EXCEPTIONS.

EXCHANGES: Original date Ghost Walk tickets are exchangeable up to 1 hour before your scheduled tour performance. Original date Haunted pub Crawl tickets are exchangeable up to 48 hours before your scheduled tour performance. For all original date tickets, the "exchange to" date must be within 7 days of original performance date, and new date cannot already be sold out. Once a ticket is exchanged it cannot be exchanged a second time, and Guest forfeits all future refund requests.

HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND

ETIX ONLINE TICKET HOLDERS: Because Etix is a national online ticket service, Etix ticket holders must request a refund directly from Etix. CLICK HERE to submit an "Email Etix Customer Support" form.   

BLACK CAT SHOPPE TICKET HOLDERS: Please request a refund at The Black Cat Shoppe at 8 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28401. Tickets must be intact and include the store receipt. 

HOW TO REQUEST AN EXHANGE

ETIX ONLINE TICKET HOLDERS: You have a few options. You can contact Etix directly by CLICKING HERE. Or you can call the Black Cat Shoppe (see number below) and request an exchange.   

BLACK CAT SHOPPE TICKET HOLDERS: Black Cat Shoppe ticket holders must request a refund IN-PERSON at 8 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28401. Tickets must be intact and include the store receipt.

Can I bring my dog on the Ghost Walk? Dogs are welcome, provided;

1. They are on a leash and fully restrained by the owner at all times. NOTE: If the dog is a Service Animal, the dog must be under the control of the handler at all times 
2. If they become disruptive for any reason, the owner must lead the dog away from the tour until the dog is back under control
3. If another Guest has a fear of dogs or is uncomfortable with your dog for ANY REASON, including therapy dogs, emotional support dogs and companion dogs, you will not be permitted to attend the tour. The only exception is if the dog is a Service Animal required for a disability, or a service animal in training, according to the ADA limits and definitions 
4. ANY dog, including a Service Animal or a Service Animal in training, that shows aggression towards people or other animals, that barks, growls or whines (unless trained to do so as a warning sign to a handler per ADA Guidelines), or that is disruptive to the normal course of the tour, will be asked to leave the tour
5. If your dog is a cat, snake, pig, tiger, tiger shark or anything other than a dog, the animal is not welcome on our tour

Can I bring my dog on the Pub Crawl? Dogs are NOT welcome on the Pub Crawl as it takes place in a more crowded and chaotic environment. The only exception is if the dog is a Service Animal required for a disability according to the ADA limits and definitions.  However since the Haunted Pub Crawl visits establishments that are independently owned and operated, we cannot be held responsible for guidelines or restrictions from other businesses. 

25th Anniversary (Conducting Wilmington Tours) Celebration; You must be 18 or older to participate. Prizes will vary weekly and are nonexchangeable or refundable. Winners will be posted on social media and notified via cell phone or email. Black Cat Shoppe staff will conduct drawings. Prize includes free domestic shipping. Guides will handout cards at the end of the tour and must be returned to the Black Cat Shoppe at 8 Market Str., Wilmington. Other terms and limitations apply. Call with questions.
